Thank you for your interest in the MS Village message boards—a place to share thoughts, ideas and experiences with other Canadians living with MS.
Our message boards are moderated on a regular basis. We will remove inappropriate posts that do not follow our guidelines.
Please know when using one of our interactive areas, each member is responsible for their communications, including posting inappropriate information. As always, we will work with anyone to help them understand our guidelines. But, we do reserve the right to remove membership if someone fails to adhere.
In this day and age, we all need to work to keep our identity protected. For your safety, please do not post or give out personal contact information or other identifying information in message board posts.
Guidelines to Post on Message Boards:
1. GOLDEN RULE: please treat others on the message boards with friendliness and respect. All members are entitled to their opinion. You may disagree with someone, but attacking or harassing someone will not be tolerated.
2. IN THE SAME LIGHT: disputing about politics and religion is prohibited. However, discussions and disagreements are allowed.
3. PREJUDICIAL REMARKS: using prejudicial statements, comments, or remarks relating to racial or ethnic background, religion, sex, or sexual orientation on the message boards is strictly prohibited.
4. PERSONAL INFORMATION: for your own safety, please do not post or share your personal email addresses, phone numbers, and/or physical addresses on the message boards.
5. KEEP IT CLEAN: use of profanity/pornographic/sexual references in any language is prohibited on the message boards. Hinting at profanity is also not permitted. Descriptive sexual conversation which has nothing to do with MS is prohibited.
6. SELLING ITEMS AND SOLICITING MEMBERS: posting or offering items for sale is not allowed.
7. TREATMENT OPTIONS DISCUSSIONS: we all have opinions about MS treatments. However, if the posts are misleading, misinformed, become solicitations, aggressive, or hurtful to others, they will be removed and the member will be contacted to discuss proper guidelines and possible consequences.
8. COPYRIGHTED MATERIAL: this is a public forum but is protected by copyright laws. This simply means, do not copy any part of a message and put it on another website or use the information without asking permission from MS Village or the author. Any person who disregards this rule may be subject to legal action.
Comments and opinions presented in the forum are not necessarily those of MS Village, but rather those of the members involved in any particular discussion.
